Family Life & Connections Director (Part-Time | 30 Hours/Week)

Join the team at StoryHill Church as the Family Life & Connections Director, where you’ll play a key role in helping people feel welcomed, connected, and spiritually supported. This position oversees our Family Life Ministry from birth through 12th grade, equipping and leading both the Kids and Student Ministry staff and their DayMaker volunteers. You’ll also help new people become part of the StoryHill family and plan fun, meaningful events that help families grow in faith. This role reports to the Lead Pastor.

Responsibilities:

Family Ministry Life (Birth-12th Grade):

  • Provide vision and oversight for all ministries serving birth through 12th grade.

  • Lead, develop, and support both Kids and Student Ministry staff.

  • Oversee curriculum and programming for all age levels, ensuring alignment with StoryHill’s mission.

  • Equip, schedule, and encourage DayMaker volunteers to create fun, safe spaces for spiritual growth.

  • Serve in environments as needed to support staff, volunteers, and build relationships with families.

  • Communicate with parents through regular updates and connection points.

  • Plan and lead events that engage and support families in their faith journey.

Connections Ministry:

  • Help new people feel welcomed and take their next step through personal follow-up.

  • Manage the guest follow-up workflow to ensure timely, meaningful connections.

  • Co-lead Discover StoryHill, our intro class for new guests.

  • Walk with guests from first-time visit to fully engaged involvement.

  • Manage the Welcome Team at StoryHill and all of its Daymakers (Welcome, Parking)

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to align family and connections efforts with our mission.

  • Participate in team meetings and leadership development opportunities.

  • Offer insight into ministry strategy and planning at StoryHill Church.

Qualifications:

  • A growing relationship with Jesus and a desire to help others follow Him.

  • Friendly, approachable, and gifted at building relationships.

  • Organized, dependable, and strong in follow-through.

  • Confident leading teams and empowering volunteers and staff.

  • Available on Sundays and key church events.

  • Aligned with the values and beliefs of StoryHill Church.

  • Committed to a minimum two-year term.
